Originally conceptualized as a full-scale leisure resort in the mid 1970s, this pretty, secluded area on Lantau Island, near Hong Kong Disneyland, was transformed in the early 1980s into a private, self-contained residential development, known simply as DB. Spanning 6.5 square kilometers between Tai Pak Bay and Yi Pak Bay, it has developed into a low-density, child and pet friendly community that is predominantly favored by expats.
